A few months ago we reported that the engineering work for the Great Sassier Water Project was about to be finished by the Haitian Government water agency.    After the plans were reviewed by the Project’s 28 member steering committee, some adjustments were made and the plans were finalized and accepted.  The bidding package and cost estimate is now being prepared and should be done in early July.   We have been working to determine possible funding sources for the project, which is expected to take 12 to 15 months to construct.  We need to secure funding commitments prior to sending the project out to bid.  Once we have the official cost estimate, we will be in a better position to have substantive discussions with possible funding sources, which include international agencies such as the Inter American Development Bank, the World Bank and others.
