Student Council members at St Pascal School on Chicago’s Northwest side collected about 500 pair of shoes for Shoes for Sassier 2012! Teachers, staff, and students collaborated to get 300 pair of new shoes donated by a local business! There will be lots of Happy Feet in Sassier! Thanks to everyone at St Pascal!  Special thanks to St Pascal teacher and Student Council moderator Lynn Finneke for inspiring her students to undertake this great project!!

Shoes continue to pour in at Sacred Heart and from other places.   Now we have to box everything up so the shoes can begin their journey to Sassier.  The route is Winnetka to Grand Rapids to Florida to Port-au-Prince to Jeremie to Sassier.  Takes about 3 to 4 months to make the whole journey.

Thanks especially to Kathleen Clarke and Beth Kelly for their great work of collecting and boxing the shoes at Sacred Heart.
