Jan. 3, 2011. Tonight, our team members leave home and head for Haiti. After overnighting in Miami and Ft Lauderdale, they will board early morning flights to Port au Prince. If all goes well, we should be in Sassier by mid-afternoon—in time to get things set up for the first day of clinic on Wednesday. There has been a cholera treatment center open in Sassier for almost two weeks, so we are hopeful that the cholera situation is less desperate than it was before Christmas. Our team has extra medicines and rehydration salts for cholera, just in case. Please keep our team in your thoughts and prayers.
