The new secondary school will transform the lives of its students and the community… but requires a big investment. Students will pay tuition and book rental fees of $50—a huge proportion of family income. But it costs more than $300 annually (teachers’ salaries, midday meals, and other operating costs) to educate each student.
The CPT campaign, launched in October 2007, will fund the school’s operating budget and, in time, construction of a separate school building near the existing elementary school. The Archdiocese of New York’s Office of Black Ministry is our joint sponsor in this campaign: click here for a copy of their campaign brochure.
